How Many People Does it Take to Cross the River?

A STORY FROM OUR PARTNER HOPE CENTERS

During this time of COVID-19, it has been such a blessing for Hope Centers to partner with HFTW Global, and others to bring relief goods to those in need. I have been amazed at the number of people God brings together to help His children. Most families we know here are struggling in some way at this time, and we have helped the Tauzon Hope Center area two previous times, and other government agencies have helped there as well. So, when a family in the Tauzon area recently reached out to us, we knew they were really struggling. The father was out of work and the uncle was recently diagnosed with TB, an illness that has brought with it much concern, including financial struggles. The uncle is in stable condition at this time and currently living with another relative.

Jhon Cris, one of our Dream Release students, messaged me asking for help for his family. So I looked to the chain of helpers, contacting the HC leader and HC host to find out more information on the situation. My husband, Pong, went to buy the food. Another member of their community picked up the food near the riverbank and delivered it to the family.
Because of the help from Hope Centers, HFTW and others, they received what they needed.

Even before Pong returned home, I received a thank you from the student. Jhon Cris was baptized last October and since then, his mom has been more interested in learning about the Word.

I pray it is in these times that families tangibly see and smell Jesus. I pray they know they are loved by Him and want to seek Him more.

We are so grateful for HFTW Global, for our partnership not only now, but always! We are grateful to be a part of taking the Gospel to those that need Him most.

Many Blessings,
